Haiti — Where the Rains Don’t Stop.

A local nursing home being evacuated due to flooding

Hurricane Matthew struck Haiti with a devastating blow in early October, but the hardest hit area was in the Southwest. Most of CRF’s works are in the Northeast part of the island. We thought we were in the clear.

However, after the hurricane hit, it started raining in the areas where CRF is most heavily located. And it didn’t stop for weeks. Currently, it looks a lot like the devastation in Louisiana after Katrina hit.

All of this was happening during the run up to the US elections. As a result, the media didn’t cover it much, and CRF didn’t get many funds to help with this horrible disaster.

You can see how much damage the rains have done. And the flooding has caused water sources to become polluted resulting in cholera for so many people.

CRF needs funds to help with the reconstruction of Haiti and to drill for clean water. Could you help?
