Although you may not have seen it on the news, the strongest cyclone ever recorded in the Southern Hemisphere made landfall in Mozambique early this week! Cyclone Idai has left behind a huge swath of destruction due to high winds and massive flooding across Mozambique, Malawi, and Zimbabwe.

At least 2.5 million people, many of them children, have been affected and the death toll is already expected to exceed 1,000 people as the waters continue to rise.

CRF is funding the immediate need for emergency food, clean water, and temporary shelter through our partners in the region. As the situation continues to develop, we will be helping families rebuild as well as working to mitigate the serious concerns about cholera outbreaks which are common in the impacted areas.

The best way that you can help today is to donate. Your gift will be put to work immediately to deploy help and hope to our neighbors who have been impacted by this deadly storm. You can donate here
